Two-piece wedding gown from Monique Lhuillier's 2016 Spring Bridal Collection
This gown is SO unique:
- It is a champagne pink in color rather than virginal white.
- It's a two-piece with a structured lace and silk bodice and a voluminous but light and easy-to-wear ball skirt.
The gown is comprised of lace, silk, and layers of tulle to create volume in the ball skirt. The asymmetrically gathered silk skirt adds dimension to the clean lines and simple fabric.
I felt so elegant and beautiful wearing this gown on my wedding day. As it is two-piece separate the bodice can be worn separately for a different formal occasion.
The dress has been dry cleaned and pressed, however, there are 4 stains around the hem of the skirt (within 4"" of the actual hem as shown in the photos). The skirt is longer than average, as I am tall, and includes a train so these stains could be removed if the skirt is shortened to suit shorter height.
I had minimal alterations done to the two pieces. The skirt was taken in 1"" around the waist and the bodice was brought in 1/2"" on each side of the cups to fit the chest.
